The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Katsina State Sector Command is mourning the death of Special Marshal Abubakar Ibrahim Yar’adua, a member of the Metro Unit, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command, who died on February 9, 2026, while receiving medical treatment in Abuja, according to the command.
Yar’adua was buried on February 10, 2026, at the Yar’adua Quarters Cemetery in Katsina, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell K. Lede, led officers and special marshals of the command to attend the funeral prayer and burial as a mark of respect and solidarity with the family.
Lede expressed condolences to the family of the deceased, describing Yar’adua as a dedicated and committed officer who served the command with diligence.
The FRSC delegation was received by the State Coordinator, Dr. Sani Ibrahim Yar’adua, who is also the elder brother of the deceased. He thanked the sector commander and the officers for their support and presence, speaking on behalf of the family.
Until his death, Abubakar Ibrahim Yar’adua served as the Unit Provost of the Metro Unit, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command, and was regarded by colleagues as an active and committed special marshal.
